Air Diffusion Council Standards
The ADC has produced the Flexible Duct Performance & Installation Standards
for use and reference by designers, installers, contractors and users for evaluating,
selecting, specifying and installing flexible duct for heating and air conditioning systems.
Other features covered in depth include: descriptions of typical styles,
characteristics and requirements, testing, listing, reporting, certifying, packaging and product marking.
This Standard is available for purchase through the ADC in three (3) different formats:
Manual (28-page hardcopy);
Manual (28-page PDF file downloads: English and Spanish); and
CD-ROM (28-page PDF files: English and Spanish).
A video is also available; the Installation Guidelines are illustrated in depth,
featuring connections, joining, splices and support of flexible duct.
A single and uniform method for making end connections and splices is shown for non-metallic
air duct and air connectors with plain ends.
The video is 7½ minutes long and may be purchased in VHS format or on the CD-ROM in MPG and WMV formats.
